Certified Personal Trainer
Specialisation: Body Transformation and Performance
With 10 years in the health and fitness industry, to say I've seen and done it all.
But I wasn't born this way.
As a child I struggled with being overweight, and my original career plans were to be an art teacher.
In fact, I have a degree in Fine Art from Leeds University!
And it was during this degree that I discovered kickboxing, representing Leeds by competing in the British University championships multiple times, and discovering a passion for teaching health and fitness.
As soon as I gained my degree, I immediately started saving for my personal trainer qualification.
The second I gained my qualification, I immediately quit my job at Tesco and started the most fulfilling job I have ever had.
During this time I was also diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, an auto immune disease that mainly affects the large intestine.
While this does present challenges, it has given me a much greater appreciation for health and how important it is to control what you can.
Since becoming a dad in 2022, it's definitely been a juggling act trying to keep on top of all areas of my fitness at the same time. However, it has meant that I've been able to use a lot of the same systems that I set up for client's in the same position to still see great results with limited available time free!
During my decade of coaching (and nearly 2 decades of my own training) I've also competed at powerlifting and coached myself and clients to fitness photoshoots.
(Currently I'm working towards a sub 20 minute 5km run time and competing in my first Hyrox this year!)
I know how good it feels to be fit and in shape.
You feel strong and sure of yourself.
It makes your whole life better.
I also know how bad it feels to be out of shape.
It can make you feel down and limit where you feel comfortable.
This is why I spent most of the last decade investing in my knowledge, under the best educators in the UK, so that I can provide the best possible service to my clients.
