You Don't Need More Motivation — You Need a System That Fits Your Life.

I'm Thomas Edwards — a personal trainer and nutrition coach based in Sandbach, Cheshire. I help people who've tried everything finally build a system that works.
I Wasn't Always the "Fitness Guy."

As a kid, I was overweight.

Not the kid who played every sport. Not the natural athlete.

Just a kid who struggled with his weight and wanted to be an art teacher.

I even got a degree in Fine Art from Leeds University to make it happen.

But during that degree, something shifted.
I discovered kickboxing. Started training. Got obsessed.

I represented Leeds in the British University Championships multiple times — and somewhere along the way, I realised I didn't just want to train. I wanted to teach.

So the second I graduated, I started saving for my personal trainer qualification.

The second I got it, I quit my job at Tesco and never looked back.

That was over 10 years ago.

Since then, I've coached hundreds of people. Competed in powerlifting. Coached clients to fitness photoshoots and national competitions. Learned from some of the best educators in the UK.

I've also been diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis — an autoimmune disease that affects my large intestine.

It presents challenges. But it's also taught me a lot about health, control, and focusing on what you can actually manage.

And since becoming a dad in 2022, I've had to live the same reality my clients do: trying to stay fit with limited time and competing priorities.

The systems I built for clients? I use them myself.

They work.
I've Seen the Pattern a Thousand Times.

Someone starts a new diet on Monday.

Full of hope. Ready to finally get it right this time.

They follow the rules. Track everything. Say no to the foods they love.

Then life happens.

A stressful week. A social event. One slip that turns into a spiral.

They tell themselves they've "blown it" — might as well enjoy the weekend and restart on Monday.

And the cycle continues.

Here's what I've learned in over a decade of coaching:

It's not a motivation problem.
It's not a discipline problem.
It's a system problem.

Most people fail because they're following rigid, restrictive plans that don't account for real life — stress, emotions, responsibilities, or the fact that perfection isn't sustainable.

That's why I built the Momentum Method.

Simple. Structured. Sustainable.

I don't believe in quick fixes or transformation challenges.

I believe in building systems that work in real life — even when things get messy.

Here's how I approach coaching:

Evidence-based, not trend-based.
No fads. No gimmicks. Just proven principles applied to your life. I've spent nearly two decades training myself and over 10 years coaching others — learning from the best educators in the UK. I base everything on what actually works, not what's trending on social media.

Flexible, not rigid.
You don't have to give up your social life or your favourite foods. You just need structure that allows for both progress and enjoyment. Restriction creates the all-or-nothing cycle. Flexibility creates consistency.

Accountability, not perfection.
You're going to have off days. Everyone does. The difference is having a system that catches small slip-ups early — before they turn into full relapses. That's what weekly check-ins provide.

Sustainable, not extreme.
This isn't a 12-week challenge. It's a system you can actually maintain. Most of my clients stay for 9+ months because it works — and because it fits their life.

I Know Both Sides of the Equation.

I know how good it feels to be fit and in shape.

You feel strong. Sure of yourself. It makes your whole life better.

I also know how bad it feels to be out of shape.

It can make you feel down and limit where you feel comfortable going or what you feel confident doing.
That's why I do this.

I've coached clients through fat loss, strength building, and physique competitions. I've competed in powerlifting myself. I've worked towards a sub-20-minute 5km and trained for my first Hyrox.

I've lived with an autoimmune condition that requires constant management.

And I've balanced all of this while being a dad with limited free time.

The systems I teach aren't theoretical.

They're the same systems I use to stay consistent when life gets busy.

They work because they're built for real life — not perfection.

10+ Years of Coaching. Nearly 20 Years of Training.
I've spent the last decade investing in my knowledge under some of the best educators in the UK — because my clients deserve more than just generic advice.

I work with people in Sandbach and across Cheshire who:

-
Have tried multiple diets and always end up back where they started
-
Struggle with all-or-nothing thinking (you're either "on" or completely off)
-
Know what to do, but can't seem to stay consistent
-
Want to lose fat without giving up their social life or favourite foods
-
Need structure and accountability, not another plan to ignore

If you're looking for a quick fix or magic pill, I'm not your coach.

But if you're ready to stop guessing, stop yo-yoing, and finally build a system that works — let's talk.
